Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants + James Jeans Giveway!

When I first saw the movie “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” I thought it was such a joke to think that the same pair of jeans could fit the likes of svelte Blake Lively and curvy America Ferrera.  Having searched most of my life for a pair of jeans that fits well, it seemed impossible that such an elusive pair of denim existed.  That was, until I found the James Jeans Twiggy jeans.  After trying them on myself, I enlisted my sisters who all have varying body types to sport a pair and tell me what they thought.  What I learned – they fit us all equally as elegantly!  Betsie, in blue, is tall with a more hourglass figure with curvy hips that taper down into enviable stems.  Carrie, in the brown jacket, basically got all the top-shelf luck in the family and was also blessed with skinny legs and calves (I’m very jealous).  Lisa, in gray, is like a very slender pear although I would hardly call her hips “hippy” as she is a bit more athletic.  And I, of course, am a classic pear shaped girl. The best part about these jeans, besides the fact that anyone can wear them and look amazing?  I’m giving away a pair to one lucky reader!  Check out the giveaway entry form below for your chance to win!  And share it with your sister or friend so they can enter too!  Good luck!

Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving!

While I love today for the turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, wine cheese, family, friends and fun, I also love that it’s a moment in time when we get to stop and really give thanks for all that we have.  It’s been an incredible year and so I wanted to share with you the things I’m most thankful for:

1. My beautiful, rambunctious, strong, funny, loving, cuddly, adorable son.  He makes waking at 5:30 am worth it.  I am thankful for his giggles and wiggles and even the way he loves to rearrange the pots and pans every day.

2. My loving, generous, kind, supportive, creative, smart, talented, inspiring husband.  He’s my rock, my best friend, my photographer, my blog designer, my CFO, and the love of my life.  I’m thankful everyday that I have him next to me on this journey of life.

3. My amazing, fun, crazy, kind, loving, supportive family.  My three gorgeous and electrifying sisters who teach me how to be a great friend, sister and person.  And my parents who taught me to be strong, independent, smart and kind.

4. My nieces and nephews.  My nieces keep me in the know about all things “cool and hip” and give me hope that the next generation will be full of kind, smart and funny people.  My oldest nephew who is equal parts handsome and sweet (sorry if I’m ruining your tough reputation, T).  And my youngest nephew who is going to be a great man (and better hockey player).

5. My in-laws.  My mother and father-in-law who have adopted as their own and never once made me feel like I wasn’t part of their immediate family.  Their kindness, support, compassion and generosity make me thankful everyday that they are in our lives.  My sister-in-law who is kind, generous, supportive and encouraging.  My brother-in-laws for being the brothers I never had and always being there for me.

6. My friends who are always there to support me, keep me going when times are tough, listen to me, encourage me to be better, inspire my style and never let me down.

7. My fun, challenging and exciting job and the great people I work with who make spending time away from the aforementioned people okay.

8. You, my readers, for making the time I spend late at night putting this blog together all worth it.  Your kind comments, “likes” and support inspire me to be a better blogger and a better person.  Thank you for reading and sharing.

What I Want to Wear to Bed

I’ve been away for work for a few days.  It’s been an intense trip full of loads of meetings all day and early mornings prepping for those meetings.  With the time difference, I am so tired.  So while I’d love to write something compelling about fashion right now, all I want to do is sleep.  I thought I’d put together a nice round-up of what I wish I was sleeping in right now.  To note, I’m in a pair of Puma sweatpants from Ross Dress for Less that I just purchased since I forgot sleep pants.  But I’d rather be in any of these.
