Dark & Stormy

It’s cold and snowy here in NYC.  Something about this weather inspires me to go monochromatic in a big way and hide out in a big gray sweater.  I love pairing gray with black for a chic dark-and-stormy look.  Here’s three ways to do it and the perfect cold-weather toppers.

Style Crush: Gray Matter

I saw this picture of Olivia Palermo wearing this gray skirt and camel boots and it cemented (pun intended) my love for all things gray this season.  It’s such a neutral color you can do whatever you want with it.  I’m partial to a monochromatic look with just a pop of color with a bag or heels.  I also love what’s happening with gray denim right now.  If my thighs would allow, I would wear those all week and just turn around the top for a new look everyday.  Since this pear shape doesn’t have the confidence to rock the gray jeans, I’ll opt for this gray skirt with a gray sweater and camel boots when the weather gets colder.  I’ve never looked forward to gray days ahead this much!
