We’re having a few friends over for dinner tomorrow night and of course I have “nothing to wear.” I want something chic and comfortable that allows me to cook, entertain and chase after a wild toddler. And, as is usual, it’s the end of the month and most of our budget has gone to holiday shopping so it has to also be affordable. Enter the mall down the street from me with an H&M, Macy’s, JC Penny, Kohl’s and Forever 21. Not sure if I’ll get a chance to go, but if I do, here’s I have my eye on to purchase for the occasion. Which one do you like the best?
When I walked into the office yesterday and saw Macey in this adorable outfit I immediately offered to buy here a Pumpkin Latte from Magnolia Bakery if she would agree to model for the blog. Macey is a gorgeous 20-something who moved to NYC from SoCal a few months ago to work with me. Don’t hate her for being young and smart and pretty and stylish. After all, she’s also funny and humble too. (Okay, hate her a little bit. Now get over it and love her.)
As the weather has cooled down, she is slowly starting to acquire more sweaters and work on transitioning her maxi-skirted, flip flop-anchored wardrobe into something that can sustain a Northeastern winter. I think she nailed the transition here by pairing this adorable flirty skirt with tights, a cable-knit sweater and booties. I love how she added saddle-colored booties with black tights for a youthful look. And the sweater is only $29!! Now it’s time to reevaluate my closet to keep up with this seriously cute outfit.
