Black & White Stripes

It’s a veritable heat wave here!  With temperatures close to 70 degrees it is not feeling a lot like Christmas.  But it is feeling like a nice day to go to the playground so that’s what we did.  And I wore one of my favorite playground ensembles that takes me easily for a bite to eat on the way home.  I was happy to bring the boyfriend jeans out of the close and not have to bundle up in boots and socks.  But I’m ready for temps to go down and still holding out hope for a white Christmas!

Dinner in the City: A Coated Denim Occasion

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was filled of family time and a lot of good food.  This is going to be a busy week with Lucky FABB coming up on Thursday.  It made me inspired to talk about the perfect “work-to-dinner” look since I know I’ll be balancing both with all the great networking that is sure to happen this week.  It isn’t often that I get to enjoy dinner in the city after work, but a couple weeks ago I was able to do just that with some amazing co-workers.  We went to one of my favorite restaurants in NYC called Emporio.  Not only is the atmosphere quaint and homey, the food is outrageously delicious!

Such an occasion called for the perfect work-to-dinner look and these “jeather” leggings fit the occasion.  They have a leather look, but are incredibly soft and have the perfect amount of stretch.  Paired with a sweet blouse, the look becomes both feminine and edgy, while being professional enough for my creative work environment.  I completed the look with nude pumps and a pendant necklace.  Of course, I’m carrying my favorite new bag and standard arm party.  Here’s to a great week!

Style Crush: Leather (and Faux Leather) Accents

leather accents_edited-2

I love the look of leather accents.  And for my vegan (or bargain hunter) friends, there are so many amazing faux leather options now.  They look and feel real and are animal friendly (not to mention wallet-friendly).  Leather accents can be added anywhere – a color, a hem, even a bracelet.  The possibilities are endless.  Here are few cute picks from around the web.
