Did I mention I have a new favorite skirt that I wear whenever I can? Oh, I didn’t? Well let me introduce you to her. She’s faux leather and fabulous! I’ve dressed her up and am showing here how you can dress her down. This is the perfect look for a brunch date and what I’m probably wearing to brunch this weekend so say hi if you see a girl wearing this exact outfit. There are so many possibilities that I apologize in advance for the number of times you’ll see this beauty on the blog.
If you saw yesterday’s post with the fabulous Macey, you might recognize the backdrop from this shoot. Not only did I make her model for me, I also utilized her photography skills to capture my outfit. Her eye for style and my experimentation with Photoshop online tutorials brought these pics.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I love peplum. And this sweater was in the back of my closet just waiting for the weather to cool off so it could come out. I got this great necklace that looks like royal jewels when I was at Lucky FABB, and loved the way it dressed up an otherwise plain outfit. Added my favorite skinnies and heels and an instant chic ensemble was made!
Pear Shaped Pointer: I recently decided that showing a little ankle was the most flattering way to wear skinnies so I had all my skinnies tailored. I am so happy I did. An inexpensive fix made a world of difference in making my legs look slimmer and cutting down that bunching at the bottom of my jeans. Highly recommend you try the same!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was filled of family time and a lot of good food. This is going to be a busy week with Lucky FABB coming up on Thursday. It made me inspired to talk about the perfect “work-to-dinner” look since I know I’ll be balancing both with all the great networking that is sure to happen this week. It isn’t often that I get to enjoy dinner in the city after work, but a couple weeks ago I was able to do just that with some amazing co-workers. We went to one of my favorite restaurants in NYC called Emporio. Not only is the atmosphere quaint and homey, the food is outrageously delicious!
Such an occasion called for the perfect work-to-dinner look and these “jeather” leggings fit the occasion. They have a leather look, but are incredibly soft and have the perfect amount of stretch. Paired with a sweet blouse, the look becomes both feminine and edgy, while being professional enough for my creative work environment. I completed the look with nude pumps and a pendant necklace. Of course, I’m carrying my favorite new bag and standard arm party. Here’s to a great week!
