Looking for something to wear for Thanksgiving but saving all of your shopping budget for Black Friday deals? Then I have a solution for you – make something in your closet new again by layering! My friend Lauren, who graciously modeled for me again here, has this sleeveless sheath dress that she loves. She generally throws a cardigan over it. Instead, I put a fun patterned chiffon blouse under the dress, added an oversized watch, tights and heels for a change-up on her go-to look. So if you’ve got a great sleeveless dress in your closet, try layering it with a fun blouse and add accessories to spruce up your Thanksgiving look!
Did I mention I have a new favorite skirt that I wear whenever I can? Oh, I didn’t? Well let me introduce you to her. She’s faux leather and fabulous! I’ve dressed her up and am showing here how you can dress her down. This is the perfect look for a brunch date and what I’m probably wearing to brunch this weekend so say hi if you see a girl wearing this exact outfit. There are so many possibilities that I apologize in advance for the number of times you’ll see this beauty on the blog.
I borrowed my friend’s cape the other day and I’m a little obsessed with it. I paired it with a midi-pencil skirt, tights and a chiffon blouse for a work- or date-appropriate outfit. It was so warm and cozy yet sophisticated – like wearing a really chic blanket to bundle yourself up in. I am now on a quest to find my own version (and my very own Prada pumps like hers that I borrowed here). I will definitely be pulling together a cape post soon!
